The Devil Wears Prada 2 Screening: A Celebration of Women Who Lead


Leading Women Magazine continues to be a remarkable platform that celebrates representation, empowerment, and meaningful storytelling. More than just a publication, it has become a community of changemakers, dreamers, and doers who inspire people to lead with purpose and passion.

As part of our Mother’s Day celebration, my wife, daughter, and I had the opportunity to attend the special block screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2 hosted by Leading Women Magazine at SM Aura Premier. It turned out to be more than just a movie night, it became a meaningful family experience that honored the strength, resilience, and grace of women in all walks of life.

The evening was spearheaded by Engr. Grace Bondad-Nicolas, who warmly welcomed guests and friends from different industries. Among those present was Raymond Gorospe, who shared that the invitation from Ms. Grace became a memorable birthday gift as he celebrated his 55th birthday. It was also wonderful to see distinguished guests such as MME. Indri Akyl and MME. Catherine Lyster spending Mother’s Day at the event.

Also spotted during the celebration was Frida Nepomuceno, daughter of the late Willie Nepomuceno. Meanwhile, Yokota Naobumi also showed interest in the much-anticipated film. More guests continued to arrive throughout the evening, creating an atmosphere filled with elegance, warmth, and appreciation for cinema.

Even though it was already my second time watching the film, the experience still felt fresh and enjoyable, especially because I was able to share it with my wife and daughter. Watching The Devil Wears Prada 2 together made the celebration even more memorable. The film continues to captivate audiences through its timeless themes, compelling characters, and empowering message about ambition, strength, and identity.

The event also gathered members of the media, who were able to conduct short yet meaningful interviews with some of the guests before the screening began. Truly, movies have a unique way of bringing people together, not only through entertainment, but through shared experiences, inspiration, and lasting memories with the people who matter most.
